New AVR Series: Reopening Our Cities
NUTC Asynchronous Virtual Roundtable | Reopening Our Cities 1
“The Vital Role of Public Transportation in Reopening Our Cities”
Cities are resilient. They adjust and adapt, but remain the center of economic, social and cultural activity. The virtual cloud is no substitute. As life resumes cautiously in most parts of the country, individual mobility levels are returning to pre-COVID levels. How can public transportation deliver its essential role in urban mobility while addressing health concerns?
Please join NUTC on Thursday, July 9th at 3pm CDT for the first in a Reopening Our Cities series of Asynchronous Virtual Roundtables (AVR), “The Vital Role of Public Transportation in Reopening Our Cities."
This AVR moderated by NUTC’s director, Professor Hani S. Mahmassani, will feature Dorval Carter, President of the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), Nathaniel P. Ford Sr., Chief Executive Officer of the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA), and Peter Cafiero, Managing Director of Intermodal Planning at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA).
NUTC’s new Reopening Our Cities AVRs feature transportation industry professionals working toward the safe and strategic reopening of cities and regional economies. On July 9th, join us for the first by clicking the Zoom link below to watch interviews and ask your questions live.
