The Justin F. Zubrod Award
 All transportation graduate students at Northwestern University are
invited to submit a transportation or logistics paper for consideration
for the Justin F. Zubrod Awards. Up to two $1,000 awards will be given
to the winning paper submissions.
Qualifications
- Applicants must be currently enrolled full or part-time in a transportation or logistics related graduate program at Northwestern University.
Paper Requirements
- The paper must address a transportation or logistics issue. Suggested areas include: strategy, general management, business policy, and innovation in logistics or transportation.
- The paper should be targeted to senior executives and CEOs
- The paper must be double-spaced and 2,500 4,000 words in length, not including charts, tables, and illustrations. Delivery will be provided in paper rather than electronic form.
Evaluation
- A committee made up of transportation and logistics faculty and industry executives will evaluate the submissions.
- The criteria will include interest of the subject matter, comprehensiveness of coverage, relevance to senior industry and government executives, either transport or shipper enterprises and policies.
Award
- There will be two (2) awards. Each will be $1,000. One will be for the transport oriented paper; the other will cover logistics.
- The awards will be paid directly to the winners.
- A plaque bearing the recipients names will be placed in the new Transportation Center building
Additional Information
- The Transportation Center reserves the right to not make one or both of the awards if the papers submitted do not meet the standards of the evaluation panel.
- Award winning papers will be considered for possible publication in the A.T. Kearney journal Executive Agenda
